Finding Grace in the Crumbs and Chaos

“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”

— Isaiah 40:11

It’s Saturday morning, and if you’re like me, you’re currently eyeing a mountain of laundry that has somehow developed its own personality. Maybe you were woken up by a tiny human’s foot in your ribs or the sudden realization that you forgot to buy milk for the cereal. In the middle of the sticky counters and the endless mental load, it’s easy to feel like you’re just a glorified snack-getter or a taxi driver with a bad attitude. But look at that verse in Isaiah again. God isn't just leading the 'important' people; He is specifically, gently leading those that have young. That’s you. He knows you’re tired. He knows about the guilt you felt when you lost your cool over the spilled juice yesterday. He isn’t pushing you to do more or be 'better.' He’s inviting you to lean into His side while you walk. Whether you’re dealing with toddler tantrums or the silent treatment from a middle schooler, you aren't walking alone. He is carrying the lambs and gently leading the one holding it all together. Take a breath. The laundry can wait. He’s got you.

Today’s Prayer

Lord, thank You for being so gentle with me when I feel like a frazzled mess. Help me feel Your hand on my shoulder today as I navigate the chaos. I’m leaning on You. Amen.
