He Carries You While You Carry Them

“He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.”

— Isaiah 40:11

Let’s be honest—by Monday morning, the 'Sabbath rest' already feels like a distant memory, doesn't it? You’re probably staring at a mountain of laundry that looks suspiciously like the one you folded on Saturday, while the kids argue over who got the 'blue bowl.' It’s easy to feel like you’re just a human vending machine or a taxi driver with a permanent messy bun. But here’s the thing: while you are busy carrying the weight of everyone’s schedules, snacks, and big emotions, someone is carrying you. Isaiah reminds us that God doesn’t just demand our service; He gently leads those with young. He knows your knees are tired and your patience is paper-thin. He isn't tapping His watch waiting for you to finally get it together. He’s right there in the kitchen with you, offering a grace that covers the spilled milk and the sharp words. You don’t have to sprint to keep up with His love. Today, take a deep breath. You are doing a holy work, and you aren’t doing it alone. He’s got the lambs, and He’s got you, too.

Today’s Prayer

Lord, thank You for holding me when I feel like I’m dropping all the balls. Help me see Your gentleness in the chaos today and rest in the fact that I am Your child before I am anyone else's mama. Amen.
