God is Gently Leading You Today

“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”

— Isaiah 40:11

Think about the morning rush. The lukewarm coffee on the counter. The nagging feeling of being 'behind' before the sun is even fully up. Most days, you are the one doing the leading, the feeding, the diaper-changing, and the complex emotion-regulating. It’s exhausting to be the CEO of a household that mostly pays in sticky hugs and occasional sass. But look at Isaiah 40. God doesn't just lead the strong or the unburdened; He specifically 'gently leads those that have young.' That’s you. He isn't barking orders or disappointed that you forgot to start the dryer for the third time. He knows you’re carrying a lot—literally and figuratively. Whether you’re navigating a toddler’s meltdown over the wrong colored plate or the heavy silence of a teenager, He is walking at your pace. You don't have to sprint to keep up with His grace. Today, let the 'gentle' part sink in. You’re doing a great job, even in the messy middles. Take a breath. He’s got the lambs, and He’s got you, too.

Today’s Prayer

Lord, thank You for meeting me right here in the chaos. Please help me feel Your gentle hand today when I feel like I'm running on empty. Amen.
