You Are Held Even When You're Exhausted

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

— Isaiah 40:29

Can we just be honest for a second? Sunday mornings are not always the peaceful, everyone-dressed-and-smiling experience the greeting cards suggest. Sometimes you arrive at church with a granola bar in your purse that someone already took a bite out of, a toddler who cried the entire drive, and a teenager who informed you that church is 'not really their thing' anymore. And yet here you are — still showing up, still trying, still whispering prayers you're not even sure you have the words for. That is not weakness. That is one of the most faithful things a person can do. Isaiah 40:29 was written for exactly this version of you — not the Pinterest-perfect mom version, but the real one, running on three hours of sleep and sheer determination. God doesn't wait for you to have it together before He strengthens you. He meets you in the middle of the mess, the minivan, and the Monday that's already threatening you on a Sunday. You are not failing. You are being held.

Today’s Prayer

Lord, I am tired in ways I can't always explain, and I need You to be my strength today because mine ran out somewhere around Thursday. Hold me close, fill in my gaps, and remind me that showing up — even barely — is enough. Amen.
