You Are Held Even When You're Tired
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
— Isaiah 40:29
Let's be honest — Wednesday has a specific kind of tired, doesn't it? It's not the fresh exhaustion of Monday or the almost-there energy of Friday. It's just... the middle. The grind. The day where you've already refereed three arguments before 8am, said 'because I said so' more times than you'd like to admit, and wondered if anyone in this house actually hears a word you say. Spoiler: sometimes they don't. And that's okay. Here's what Isaiah wants you to know on this very ordinary Wednesday in April: God doesn't wait for you to get it together before He shows up with strength. He gives it to the weary — and friend, that is you, and that is enough to qualify. You don't have to earn a refill. You don't have to perform your way into His care. The God who hung the stars also sees you standing at that sink, running on cold coffee and sheer love. He's not disappointed. He's near.
God, I'm running low today and I'm not going to pretend otherwise — You already know. Fill me back up with whatever I need to love my people well this Wednesday. Thank You for meeting me right here in the middle.
