You Are Held, Even on Hard Days

“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”

— Isaiah 40:11

Did you catch that last part? He gently leads those that have young. Not pushes. Not rushes. Gently leads. That verse was written for you, mama — the one who hasn't slept a full night in what feels like a presidential term, the one who referee'd three arguments before 8 a.m., the one who cried in the school pickup line because you snapped at your kid and immediately hated yourself for it. God doesn't look at your exhausted, half-functioning self and say 'pick up the pace.' He sees that you are carrying something heavy and precious, and He adjusts His pace to yours. He knows your arms are full. He knows your heart is fuller. The same God who holds the universe together also holds you — the you who burned the toast this morning and forgot to sign the permission slip. That's not a small thing. That's everything. You are not behind. You are not failing. You are being gently led.

Today’s Prayer

God, on the days when I feel like I'm barely keeping my head above water, remind me that You are the one holding me up. Lead me gently today — through the chaos, the noise, and the moments I don't feel like enough. Thank You for seeing me clearly and loving me anyway.
