The Shepherd Who Walks At Your Pace

“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”

— Isaiah 40:11

You’ve likely spent your morning hunting for a matching sock or negotiating how many bites of oatmeal constitute a 'full meal' before heading out the door. By the time you finally sit down, you probably feel like you’re already behind. It’s so easy to feel like you’re failing at some invisible pace set by the 'perfect' moms on your social feed. But look closely at today’s verse. God isn't standing behind you with a stopwatch, shouting for you to hustle. He is a Shepherd who specifically slows down for the ones with little ones in tow. He knows that your current season involves constant interruptions, sticky hands, and a heart that feels pulled in ten directions at once. He isn't asking for a polished performance; He’s offering a steady hand while you navigate the toy-strewn hallway. Whether you’re dealing with a toddler’s meltdown or a teenager’s moody silence, remember that your pace is known and honored by Him. You aren't 'behind' in your faith just because life is loud right now. You are exactly where He is meeting you.

Today’s Prayer

Lord, thank You for meeting me in the middle of the mess and the laundry. Help me feel Your gentle lead today, knowing I don't have to rush to keep up with Your love. Amen.
