You Are Held Even on Hard Days

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

— Isaiah 40:29

It's Friday. You made it. Maybe barely, but you made it. Maybe this week had a tantrum in the grocery store checkout line where everyone stared. Maybe it had a teenager who slammed a door and said something that still stings a little. Maybe it just had a hundred small, unremarkable moments that somehow drained you completely by Wednesday afternoon. That's the sneaky thing about motherhood — it's not always the big dramatic stuff that wears you down. Sometimes it's the third cup of milk you poured, the permission slip you signed at 11pm, the question you didn't have an answer to. And somewhere in the middle of all that ordinary, you forgot to notice that God hasn't looked away from you for a single second. He sees the weary version of you — the ponytail-and-yesterday's-mascara version — and He is actively, intentionally giving you strength. Not because you earned it. Just because He's that good. You are not running on empty alone.

Today’s Prayer

God, I am tired in ways I can't fully explain, but You already know. Fill me up today with exactly what I need to finish this week well and rest without guilt this weekend. Thank You for never once getting tired of me.
