You Are Held Even When You're Empty
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
— Isaiah 40:29
Sunday. You'd think it would feel like rest, but sometimes Sunday is just Saturday with better clothes and a tighter schedule. You're herding everyone into shoes, someone can't find their Bible, and you haven't eaten anything yet because you've been making sure everyone else did. By the time you slide into that pew — or click into that livestream from your minivan in the parking lot, no judgment — you are already running on fumes. Here's what I want you to hear today: God is not waiting for you to show up full. He meets you in the empty. That verse in Isaiah wasn't written for people who had it together. It was written for the worn-out, the depleted, the ones who gave everything away by 9 a.m. You are not disqualified because you're weary. Weary is actually the prerequisite. He specializes in tired moms who still show up anyway. That's you. You showed up. That counts.
God, I'm running low today and You already know it. Fill the places in me that feel hollow, and let me receive something today instead of just giving. Thank You for meeting me exactly here.
