You Are Held When You're Running Empty
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
— Isaiah 40:29
Let's be honest — Tuesday is nobody's favorite. Monday at least has the dramatic energy of a fresh start. But Tuesday? Tuesday is just... Tuesday. The laundry is still there. The permission slip you forgot is still there. And you, sweet friend, might be running on three hours of sleep and whatever was left in the coffee pot. Here's what I want you to hear this morning: God's promise in Isaiah 40 wasn't written for people who had it together. It was written for the weary. That's the actual target audience. You. Right now. In yesterday's ponytail. He doesn't wait until you've rested up, caught up, or cleaned up to give you strength — He gives it to the weak, which means you qualify today, exactly as you are. You don't have to perform your way into His care. You just have to show up, and He meets you there. That's not a small thing. That's everything.
God, I'm tired in ways I can't always put into words, but You already know every single one of them. Give me strength for today — not just to survive it, but to actually be present in it. Thank You for holding me when I can barely hold it together.
