Finding Your Rhythm in His Gentle Lead
“He will feed his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms, and carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.”
— Isaiah 40:11
Some days, the pace of your life feels less like a 'walk with God' and more like a frantic sprint through a Lego-filled minefield. Between the lukewarm coffee and the mountain of laundry that seems to be multiplying in the dark, you’re tired. Not just 'need a nap' tired, but 'my soul is weary' tired. You wonder if you’re doing enough or if you’re just failing at a faster speed than yesterday. Here is the beautiful truth: God isn’t behind you with a stopwatch, checking your productivity. Isaiah tells us that He gently leads those who have young ones. He knows you have a toddler hanging onto your leg or a middle-schooler breaking your heart. He knows about the sleepless nights and the mental load that never seems to lighten. He isn't asking you to hurry up; He’s matching His stride to yours. Today, take a deep breath. You don’t have to be a superhero. You just have to be His. He is carrying the heavy stuff for you, and He thinks you’re doing a wonderful job in the messy, beautiful middle of it all.
Lord, thank You for not rushing me when I feel behind. Help me feel Your gentle hand on my shoulder as I navigate today's chaos. Amen.
